You can become more empowered and take steps to create your dream life by harnessing the power of positive intention and the law of attraction to bring you more of what you desire. 

Through the law of attraction, you attract into your life more experiences that match your thoughts and feelings. When you feel good, you are a magnet for positive experiences. You become a co-creator with God. Like attracts like.

When we can shift the beliefs and the stories that keep us small, we can move into our true purpose and freedom. When we follow our bliss and our heart of hearts and realize every little thing we do does make a difference, we can be the change, individually, collectively and in the macro-micro scale beyond space and time. Meditation transcends time and affects the past and the future for time is an illusion.

Mood Boosting Room Sprays for Meditation

Room sprays are so incredibly mood boosting when you prepare your space for meditation. Of course, you can buy them most anywhere, but I am giving you some recipes I use to make my own because I find that the intention I put into them is soulful. They are simple to make. You only need four things to get started: bergamot, lavender, and chamomile are popular choices when it comes to mood-boosting fragrances, feel free to mix and match using oils you already have on hand. And, if you find that the smell of alcohol overpowers the essential oils, swap it out for something more subtle like witch hazel.

Note:

Avoid using rubbing alcohol for these recipes because it isn’t safe for aromatherapy.

Uplifting Chamomile Blend

Chamomile is best known for its ability to help calm a stressed mind and soothe a tense body, and it has long been used to ease feelings of grief, anger and sensitivity. On the other hand, rosemary is widely favored for its energizing qualities. Diffusing rosemary oil into the air can help clear the mind and promote vitality.
You Will Need

1.5 oz. vodka/witch hazel

Spray bottle: 4 oz.

15 drops chamomile essential oil

15 drops rosemary essential oil

1.5 distilled water

To Make

Pour the vodka/witch hazel into a small spray bottle. Add the essential oils and shake well. Add the distilled water and shake again. Spray the blend in the space you are preparing for meditation.

Brightening Bergamot Blend

Bergamot has powerful mood-boosting effects. It helps calm agitated children, promotes mental clarity and helps stabilize overpowering emotions. While it blends well with most oils, combine it with sandalwood to promote serenity and clary sage to soothe stressed nerves.
You Will Need:

1.5 oz. vodka/witch hazel

Spray bottle: 4 oz.

10 drops clary sage essential oil

10 drops sandalwood essential oil

1.5 oz. distilled water

Sunny Lavender Blend

Nourishing and balancing lavender has been shown to reduce feelings of anger, agitation and insecurity. Combine it with lemon essential oil to help elevate your mood and re-energize a tired mind.

15 drops lavender essential oil

15 drops lemon essential oil

Homemade Smudge Sticks for Meditation

Making your space ready for meditation can range from no preparation to well thought out preparation. There is no judgement - no right or wrong way because meditation is a type of medicine. It must be available to use in any situation. There are many types of meditation from sitting alone to walking meditation to group meditation to yoga or other types of exercise.

If you have the inclination and opportunity, making smudge sticks can enhance your experience. The decorative bundles can be made with flowers, lavender, sage, rosemary, thyme, etc. The smudge sticks, used for clarifying the energy in a space, are usually comprised of white sage, mugwort, sweet grass, cedar, and Mexican sage.

How to Make Homemade Smudge Sticks

If you are using herbs and plants that you have harvested, dry them in the sun after bundling for a few days to prevent mold from growing. Use all natural fiber strings since they will be burned and you don't want any toxic residue in the smoke.

Make sure your clippings are the same length. Arrange them in a bundle and begin wrapping the string around them. Wind the string tightly around the bottom of the clippings. Move upward and use a crisscross method to secure the herbs and flowers in place. Tie the string in a know when you're done wrapping.

A Beginner’s Guide to Smudging

  • Grab your smudge stick, a candle, matches, and a fireproof container like a ceramic bowl or a dried abalone shell.
  • Open your window or door.
  • Light the candle and say a prayer or set a positive intention for your meditation space. Place the smudge stick in the fireproof container. Light the tip of the smudge stick with the candle, blow out the flame on the smudge stick, and continue to blow on it until the ember start to smoke.
  • Walk around the room with the smudge stick, fanning the smoke into every corner and open space. As the smoke moves through the room, imagine it carrying all the negativity, impurities and bad vibes out of your room. Push the smoke all over your body from head to toe.
  • Extinguish the smudge stick in your fireproof container with water or let it die out on it’s own.

Meditation is a basic life skill that has been overlooked at the detriment of all of creation.
