Chicory
Two of Air energy manifests in Chicory.
Old ideas can be blinders to new wisdom. Let go of worn out thinking to see an issue clearly. Chicory is often classified as a weed. It is however a beneficial medicine plant that draws important insects to the garden.
Be receptive to new guidance; gather information before taking action, then be still and look within.
As the long chicory taproot brings nourishment to the surface, a deep dive will guiet self-doubt. What is really true?
Acknowledge what you do not want to accept, then be willing to listen. When it is your turn to share, do not hide behind a closed fearful heart. Open wide like the bold chicory flowers.

Crafting With Two of Air
The Twos feature plants that are beneficial to pollinating animals, providing them with food and shelter. They attract birds, moths, butterflies and beneficial insects. The animals, who spread pollen and fruit, ensure the plants will continue to survive. Both receive and both give. Like the Aces, the Twos are plants we often encounter near the beginning of our botanical journey.
The herbcrafter now meets her first challenge. as her awareness grows beyond weeds, she encounters the difficulties facing the botanical world. Still a beginner, she learns how her choices affect the ecosystem. She confronts what this means to her and consults her intuition to decide what to do about it. The two cards spark the beginning of action that eventually leads to reciprocity. As the herbcrafter considers her relationship with nature, the herbs of the Twos challenge us to create balance.
Crafts
- Pluck the petals of a chicory flower. Release old beliefs aloud with the falling of each one.
- Observe pollinating insects. Journal the question: How might I open up more in my relationships?
- Be bold and clear. Dress like a chicory flower; put blue streaks in your hair.

Mini Meditation
Meditation
Get into a relaxing position and close your eyes, make sure you are a comfortable temperature and not likely to be interrupted.
- Take three deep breaths
- Feel your tension melting away.
Imagine yourself doing one of the crafts mentioned above. Use your imagination. Make it as elaborate or as simple as you like. Have whomever you would like to be there come and share the time with you.
Imagine what it would look and feel like, as if it were really happening. Use your five senses and imagine all the sensory details as though you are really there.
Be creative and indulge in this moment.
Spend as long as you like in this visualization and feel the benefits of crafting with nature. Think about your meditation as often as you like as you go through your day. If possible, create it in reality.

The Herbcrafter

Herbcrafter
An herbcrafter is an afficianada of the botanical realm. She is in love with plants and longs to know them more deeply.
Her approach is driven by a playful, wild spirit.
The herbcrafter embraces the plant world as her teacher and friend through observation and botany, gardening and wildcrafting, medicine and kitchen craft, fiber arts and weaving, art and magic.
She recognizes herself as part of nature. She seeks reciprocity in all things. Through the relationship with the botanical world, she learns how plants and people can be of service to one another.
Every moment is a crossroad in time. Consider that, as above so below and as inside so outside and live accordingly.
